Today.. yup.. it’s a day.. haha

And i had a really ‘good’ start you know! I woke up at 7.15am realizing that I had forgotten to set my alarm the previous night so I was late for school! Heh heh. Thanks a lot Mum for driving me (: when I alighted, I saw Junxiang and the other Disco SCs. Heh. And Geraldine took down my name (: haha quite funny for a start. She was like “ what time is it now? “ smiling. (in mandarin) hahaha.

Luck was on my side cos when I reached school, the rest of the students were just dismissed from morning assembly. One I didn’t have to stand in front of whole school as a latecomer :P two, I wasn’t late for the English test.

Went to my seat and saw the snack that Qimin toasted for me. haha pleasantly surprised! Then Norine passed me a file, having many photos compiled together.. like penguins with my photo stuck to the heads etc. brought back lotsa memories there were pictures of the track and batons. Later was the English test. I read what was written inside the file and then I teared. Thank you No.

Later was Biology I think. Then Dorothy handed me a piece of cookie and a card. Oh man. I was very very touched because I haven’t been very close to her and yet she gave me something.. really appreciated it loads Doro. And also my Kulak aka Bena! She gave me a card drawn personally by her.. heh the cow farm is so cute. Thanks a million too (: when Bio ended, the girls sang a birthday song for me just before I stepped outta the LT :D thank you 4B!

After that was recess.. while queuing up for my food, George accompanied by Chuanmin passed me a Nike cap which read “ from runners to runners” or something like that.. was very touched when I read that. Thanks dude!

Then it was history.. then maths.. Norine spotted something hanging on the door handle outside class after that.. it was an orange carrot from LOLs Lizhu and Shaun! Hahah they didn’t dare to ask me outta the class so they hanged outside :P xie xie ni men!! then physics.. then Geography. Mr Tan wished me a happy birthday! Hahaha thanks Mr Tan! And not to mention.. Janice with a dramatic fall which sent the entire class laughing like crazy. Gees. Then Waimin my dear tablemate wrote a birthday message on my hand. Thanks Waimin you’re lovely too (:

After school, I went around looking for Peishi Hendy and others with Kheng.. on the way being poached by 4G people to buy their class coupons. Hahaha. While climbing up the stairs back to class, Amanda who was outside suddenly told Kheng:

“ hey, we had difficulty burning that thing, you better come in and take a look. “

So Kheng went in. and I didn’t wanna be kpo and look at what their class was doing, so I headed back to my own. Then Amanda stopped me and:

“ jade you come also.”

Haha I was like huh? But nonetheless I just entered.

THEN. FeTWELVE sang a birthday song for me! I was in shock for a moment then I went all paiseh. Then they asked me to “cut cake”. Fann passed me scissors even! Hahaha to cut cake. So I opened the box and found a shoebag inside (: then Emilee said there’s something inside. A wallet! Haha oh ya and they gave me a blue bulb as birthday card :D haha so there you have it: a wallet in a shoebag; and a shoebag in a cake box. Thanks girls, I like it a lot (:

After school! Was movie with Coach and Team. Haha Transformers. Thank you all those who turned up, and those who sang a birthday song for me (: though the purpose of the outing today wasn’t to celebrate my birthday, but I appreciate your presence anyway.

And of course BIG thanks to Coach for forking out $14o++ for the movie tickets!

Before leaving Vivo, we met Peishi and took a group photo hahaha.

Ahh. I can’t thank you people enough because I’ve been repeating the same word all over and over again.. I’m really touched by every single person who sent their regards in a way or another. It’s really heartwarming to know that there’re people who still care for you. Sighs. I know I don’t deserve some of your kindness cos of my forgetfulness, I tend to forget many people’s birthdays. Thank you all still, for remembering. Okay I’m very long winded.. but then

I LOVE YOU ALL (: including those who didn’t wish me, cos I know that you are still there!

Ahh.. so it was the end of the 48th National Schools’ Track and Field Championships 2oo7..

I must say that this year has been quite a fruitful one for the Team, will various divisions and events chiong-ing into the Semis and Finals.

Well done Carrots, you’ve done yourselves and others proud.

Today at the 4x400m finals, I was given a chance to run because Kexin’s away at OBS. Really sorry people, for pulling the gap further apart during my run. Guilt aside, I’m really really thankful to you all for not blaming me. and also, the opportunity to run today was more than a miracle that has happened to me. never did I dream that I would still be able to watch Peishi run right in front of me, receive the baton from Amanda, and then passing it on to Joanna. Thank you so much for the chance. Though I know Kexin would have done a much much better job than i.

After dinner Ms Or gave us a lift home. Very grateful to her. She’s one of the few teachers whom I’ve met to be so dedicated to her students and CCA. You rock teacher. I can never thank you enough.

Was the first one to alight. I went home with this empty feeling- just like the day 2G spent our last day together as a class.

Nationals is over. Poof, gone just like that. Today was the last official race that the sec4s are gonna take part together, as Carrots. The sec4s are gonna step down very soon. Man.

It’s over.

These 4 years spent in Athletics have really taught me a lot. From a girl who knows nuts about anything, to one that has learnt how to care for others, to work as a team.. it’s just like a second family. the seniors have certainly left behind their legacy.. and I hope we this batch of sec4s are also able to leave ours behind.. for our beloved juniors to look up to. Thank you juniors for your utmost support, for never failing to motivate me to go on. Thanks for being so sweet and encouraging. In you guys and girls I see the perseverance that will definitely bring you all to great heights in time to come.

Fe12, you’re the bestest girls’ team that I can ever ask for. Amanda Chrislyn Chuanmin Emily Fann ,jade Janice Joanna Karen Leena Ningxin Peishi- everyone of you has made a difference in my life in a way or another.. I don’t know when we can all run together in an official race again, but I know one thing for sure that you’ll never be replaced.

I can’t imagine life without them. And the sec4 guys. And the juniors.

Haha haven’t been updating in ages.. google hates me all over again.

Time seems to fly. The vacation is over and now it’s Nationals tomorrow! I forgot whether it was in February or March or which month, the Netballers were having their matches and they went “ wah your races so late ar!” and guess what those races that they were talking about will officially start like in less than 24 hours.

Yup every Tracker/Crosser will know how much we’ve been training for the season. The perspiration, the tears, the time, the energy and the scolding aren’t gonna be all for nothing. Many including myself are having the pre-race syndrome of panicking and keep-thinking-of-running-when-you’re-supposed-to-do-something-else, and I think it’s perfectly normal. Whenever I think of the track in Choa Chu Kang stadium, I feel adrenaline rush all over my body.

At this point in time, it’s probably too late to start training very hard. Even Coach keeps saying “ you all know what to do already right? Why practise so many times?” hmm I guess what’s to be done is for everybody in the team to build up their confidence and have plenty of rest. Especially to those who are currently ill, it’s important for the team to take care and remain healthy (:

so there you go, Carrots, we’re gonna burn the track starting from 5th July-18th July 2oo7.

Haha okay I don’t know how many people are gonna read this but.
