and there's always something to reflect on after a race..Carrots raced at Macritchie this afternoon. the weather was pretty cooling, just that the raindrops could be quite distracting sometimes. other than that, it was the perfect weather to run under.the pace at which i was going was comfortable, thanks Fann for pacing. not sure of my timing, but that's not of utmost importance. during a race, being fast and all that doesn't give you the ultimate happiness. it's the encouragement you give others, regardless of race language or religion, and the support from people that you receive in turn that makes you feel satisfied and motivated. heard how Fann described her sense of achievement after cheering for others as she ran along.. and those words really are what i hold close to my heart.yes the satisfaction is in making a difference.seeing the sec3 juniors getting sad and crying ( over their personal timings i suppose ) after the race, it hurt me a lot. really a lot. at the same time, it reminded me of my batch ( present Iron12) one or two years back. hmm well or rather myself. race timings were my greatest fear each time i took part in one. doing worse than what i had expected brought tears. watching the others comfort those who cried, i had to urge to walk over too but i knew it wouldn't help much especially when i hardly exchanged words with them. this is what i realised over the few years.. deep down, we know that friends' advice and encouragement relieve our pain to a certain extent.. which nobody can deny. however, whether or not we can walk out of the depression depends on ourselves at the end of the day. do we wanna wallow in a pool of self-pity.. or do we wanna pick ourselves up and move on.. the choice is ours to make.haha i know the juniors don't know my blog existed.. but yeah, to the juniors: no matter what happened, you guys put in effort, that's what that matters. jiayou, we'll all be behind you always! cheer up and embrace new challenges as you move along (: Song (my friend) once told me : what doesn't kill you, makes you STRONGER. way to go juniors! (:haha and to all those who ran today.. great run there! rest well (:that's all for today.. take care!plus and minus..--the trend must stop.
